  2. wHY WOULD YOU PUT THE CODE IN BOTH THE PRIMARY AND THE SECONDARY? EXPECIALLY IF IT TAKES UP SOME OF THE SPACE FOR THE 5 SPACES THAT MAKE UP THE POINTS FOR ADDITIONAL CM POINTS?

  3. Pam, the codes in this scenario (DM & PVD) must be coded in M1022 as they are current, ongoing conditions. Coding them in M1024 is optional and does not affect POC; it does affect reimbursement.
