The first course of our Six-Part ICD-9 Coding Web Series kicked off last week with "Conquering Difficult Coding Situations." In this course, we reviewed some of the most challenging scenarios that coders often experience, like how and when to use M1024, especially when trying to avoid the loss of valuable case mix points. For more on this, I have posted a short clip of the webinar in which we discussed "preventing case mix loss."
We also discussed problems encountered in coding comorbidities and coding chronic disease processes. With five courses still remaining in this series, we are sure to cover other coding dilemmas that many of you have encountered and have questions about.
If you have any comments and/or questions about the webinar or this video clip, feel free to post them in the comment box below. Likewise, if you would like to submit questions in advance of next month's course, "Defeating Therapy & Ortho Coding Dilemmas," I will be happy to include them in the webinar's Q&A session.
