COURSE #6 OF A SIX-PART SERIES
Are you one of the agencies that seldom use V codes because they're "discretionary"? In many cases, the use of a V code would not only make your OASIS more accurate, it is also the only option because coding of resolved conditions is forbidden in home health. Take away great information on the best practices for deciding the use of aftercare V codes and how NOT to risk losing valuable case mix points when a V code is used in M1020 or M1022. As always, get one-on-one interaction with our course instructor and practice through sample scenarios to gauge your understanding.

**Back by Popular Demand!**

The Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys will be mandated later this year. Studies show a direct correlation between satisfaction and outcomes, so CMS has decided that patient satisfaction surveys will help to impact quality of care. What do you need to know about CAHPS? How will participation (or lack of participation) impact agency reimbursement?

This session will give you the details, explain the methodology and language choices, and guide you on specifics about vendor selection. You'll learn about the "dry run," and when official surveys begin, sampling periods, and the agency role in survey questions and distribution. As with publicly reported Outcome Indicators, you'll learn when and where outcomes will be reported, as well as how agencies can use the results for change and improvement.

FREE admittance. Non-Customers are welcome to attend!

ICD-9 Coding & OASIS-C: What You Need to Know for Assured Accuracy
Agencies are constantly bombarded with OASIS and ICD-9 coding changes, and it's often difficult to weed out the mandatory changes from the information that is simply "FYI" in nature. To assure the success and survival of your agency amidst all of the changes means that you must continuously focus on education and training. Listen carefully as our coding and OASIS experts fill you in on the latest OASIS-C and ICD-9 coding guidelines and learn strategies that will assist you in achieving accurate documentation that complies with the mandatory changes... then, apply those strategies to practice scenarios.

Surviving RAC Audits
There is no escaping that the home health care you deliver and how you deliver it will be audited for skill and content. Your survival in this new era of Recovery Audit Contractors will depend on how well you prepare by reviewing how you assess, deliver and document services. Agencies and clinicians will seek guidance in modifying care to survive the increased scrutiny. Programming will require new levels of efficiency, protocols and clinical control not required since the Prospective Payment System was introduced. How will providers adapt care to address these changes? Don't let unlicensed auditors force you to re-model your care approach; use your clinical knowledge and resumé to define the home health plan of the future!
