Can I arrange for one of your educational staff members to come to my agency and teach my staff?

Sure! We often travel to agencies across the country to present private on-site workshops. You can work with our educational staff to create a customized agenda and choose a convenient date for your staff.

Can I earn continuing education credit by attending your seminars?

We submit most of our workshops, webinars and private in-service agendas to the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation for nursing contact hours. We also submit our ICD-9 coding classes to the Board of Medical Specialty Coding for CEUs towards the maintenance of the HCS-D credential. Each course is different, so please check the detailed information on the course page or call us to ask any questions regarding continuing education credit.

How do I find out about classes?

We are always developing our educational calendar to reflect industry changes and hot topics, so keep http://www.ppsplus.com on your favorites list and visit often for the list of upcoming events. It is also encouraged that you sign up for our Newswire, which is our monthly publication featuring industry news as well as PPS Plus Software news, events and educational announcements. You can sign up for the newswire in the form provided at the bottom of this page.

I am a beginner. Do you offer basic ICD-9 coding courses?

Since the start of our educational division, PPS Plus University, we have mostly geared our offerings for intermediate to advanced-level coders. We have recently received a lot of requests for beginner-level courses and starting in the spring of 2010 we will be integrating some beginner courses into our educational calendar. Keep up-to-date with new course offerings by keeping http://www.ppsplus.com on your favorites list and check back often for new courses.

What Others Have Said

Thank you so much for allowing your education director to come to our office! She did an awesome job! Everyone was able to take away some valuable information and she made us feel more comfortable with all the changes that are about to take place. We have already decided that we would like for her to come back at a later date for an ICD-9 coding class. My staff was very impressed that she handed out her card and gave everyone an open invitation to call her with questions and to be a resource for them. You have a wonderful employee! Thank you!
